17 August Community Services Committee Runs another Life-Saving Blood Drive August 17, 2017 Community Services, Volunteer Blood Drive, Community, Volunteer Thanks to all who donated and volunteered for our Red Cross Blood Drive which was held on July 30! It was a huge success. We collected 48 units of blood with the potential of saving 144 lives. This year we teamed up with IATSE Local 892 (Costume Designers) and Local 705 (Costumers), and Local 80 (Grips, Set Medics) was kind enough to host us. We were also joined by “Be the Match” (for bone marrow donors), the Will Rogers Foundation and the Actors Fund, all giving out information to union members.
